Before you install
What it needs. Stated precisely.
EasyCP installs in about five to ten minutes and asks a single question. These are the requirements the installer actually checks.
01
Platform
EasyCP targets one operating system deliberately, so the stack underneath it is a known quantity rather than a matrix.
AlmaLinux 9Required. A fresh installation, supported upstream until May 2032.
Not AlmaLinux 10The installer stops. Support is planned but not shipped.
CloudLinuxSupported as a converted AlmaLinux 9 system, where LVE, CageFS and PHP Selector are then managed from the panel.
Root accessRequired for installation and for the privileged broker.
02
Resources
Modest. EasyCP is a control panel, not the workload.
Memory512 MB minimum. 1 GB or more recommended once hosting real sites.
Disk5 GB free for the panel and its stack, before customer data.
Port 80Reachable, for certificate issuance.
Port 8443Reachable, for the panel itself.
03
What the installer configures
A complete hosting stack, installed and running. Nothing further is needed to serve a site.
OpenLiteSpeedWeb server. Apache with mod_lsapi and Apache behind an NGINX proxy can be switched to later from the panel.
lsphp 8.1 / 8.2 / 8.3PHP via LSAPI, self-tuning.
MariaDB 11Database server, with phpMyAdmin.
Exim & DovecotMail transfer, IMAP and POP3, with SpamAssassin filtering.
BIND 9Authoritative DNS.
nftables & Fail2BanFirewall and brute-force protection.
ModSecurity + OWASP CRSWeb application firewall.
CertbotAutomatic Let’s Encrypt certificates.
ResticBackup engine.
ClamAVMalware scanning.
RedisObject cache.
Pure-FTPdFTP.
Node.js 22Panel API runtime. The React frontend is built on the server during install.
04
After installation
Four things, in this order. The installer prints your panel URL and initial password when it finishes.
Change the passwordOn first login.
Run Security AdvisorSecurity → Security Advisor reports misconfiguration with the remedy for each finding.
Configure a backup destinationFiles → Backups → Destinations. Backups that only exist on the same server are not backups.
Choose your web stackServer → Web Server, if OpenLiteSpeed is not what you want. The panel manages the cutover and verifies it survives a reboot.
